Minor tiffs between neighbors aren’t uncommon but few neighborly disagreements rival those shared by India and Pakistan. The two Asian countries have been at odds since 1947.

Coke’s “Happiness” advertising campaign has come up with a solution: sharing an ice-cold Coca-Cola. The peace broker? A vending machine. The company’s new “touch” vending machine allows thirsty people from India and Pakistan to see and “touch” each other as they share something in common: the desire for a refreshing coke.

The front of the vending machine is a screen that resembles a window on which a your fellow thirsty man can be seen hundreds of miles away. Color and light is displayed when both counterparts place their hands on the surface of the window-like display.
